In Karnataka, India, a girl’s home had dangerous levels of nitrates in the water. The administration was shocked to discover that the nitrate levels were 150-230% above India’s acceptable limits, and the staff and students had been slowly exposed to the poisoning effects of the high concentration of nitrates.
This level is even dangerous for bathing. Teenage girls and pregnant women are the most significantly affected by this kind of contamination.
Nitrate in groundwater originates primarily from fertilizers, human waste septic systems, and manure storage or spreading. Drinking nitrate contaminated water causes a number of health disorders, such as methaemoglobinemia, skin cancer, cancer of the bladder, kidney and lung, birth malformations, etc.

The water filtration system that the school had used to filter out contaminates was unable to remove these nitrates.
Global Assist was able to provide them with a new water filtration system that will purify every drop of water that is put through the unit and retain the beneficial minerals that are necessary for the human body.
